Real knowledge

Generic idea for a Civilization-like game.

Get rid of the "knowledge tree". All the knowledge about terrain features and about the effects of the things that the player can build should be acquired by him through the experience of the game.

This need a much more thorough reflection! :) Because I have to find a mechanics such that that there in each game there is a slow progress in knowledge, and there are different things to know (not the same ones of previous games)... This is why I wrote that at the present stage it's a "generic" idea. ;)
